In the monastery
And as I love to keep repeating design, art and fashion go hand in hand, therefore what could be better than to shoot my styling choices in this location. The great thing about this style is that it’s so carefree you can wear your heart on your sleeve and use your style to show off your personality. I dress for my mood and I am all about comfort obsessed with sweaters in bright colors. They can make quiet a statement. You can actually be very dressed up and just throw on a cozy knit to brighten the mood for more relaxed feel the bonus is you staying warm.
Same as the nordic designers I have chosen, I drew inspiration from iconic prints of the ’60s and ’70s, with modernist lens and putting my own spin on outfit. I translated my vision into graphic geometric prints, sinuous silk shirt dresses anything overtly nostalgic is artfully recharged in precisely-cut, super-modern shapes. With some silver jodhpurs, white boots or higher boots to finish the look. (chunky jewelry works perfect as well)
As women are not hard-wired to wear just one style here to the more relaxed style when you do not want to wear anything too tailored and classic.
My choice, any one of my absolute favourites are the Danish designers. Copenhagen-based label Stine Goya known for its playful, colorfully printed dresses and separates. For the #GANNIgirl Ditte Reffstrup’s printed dresses are always a hit but it’s the eclectic ways that fans choose to style them that really makes each one special. This ‘Rometty’ midi version is made from georgette patterned with both polka-dots and blooming florals, and has flexible smocked panels along the bodice, shoulders and cuffs, something to live in I say!!
My silver boots and pink sweater is by Creative Director Mathilde Torp Mader, By Malene Birger she creates clothes that are modern, relevant and effortless to wear. Beautiful fabrics and intricate, the relaxed silhouettes that are the label’s signature.
My black and white dress (wearing with white boots) is from Lona Mila Dutch design which started out as a passion for colorful prints and luxurious fabrics. The key message from all the pieces and it fashion designers I believe is that all are wearable pieces in feminine silhouettes designed to empower women to celebrate and express their individuality. The Clothing is provided by Jackie O in Noordwijk here more than shop this is as well unique concept with caring and talented people with eye for the latest or unexpected separates. My to go shop!
